The easiest way to start posting...

without overthinking it

You know you need to post.

You know building an audience will help your business.

But every time you sit down to write something, you overthink it.

  • What if no one cares?

  • What if people judge me?

  • What if my old colleagues see this?

The advice you hear? “Just post it.”

And sure, that works if you have zero connections, zero reputation, and nothing to lose.

But you do have a reputation.

You’ve spent years building credibility, and suddenly, you’re supposed to start posting online - in public, where everyone can see?

I get why that feels uncomfortable.

One of my clients was in this exact position.

They had left a high-level corporate job to start their own business.
They knew they needed to put themselves out there.
But the fear of what people might say kept them stuck.

So instead of forcing them to “just post,” we started with something simple.

The Simple Post Framework → Tell People What You’re Working On

The truth is, most people don’t actually know what you’re doing.

Unless they’re in your inner circle, they only see bits and pieces.

That’s why this works:

Write a post that simply shares:

  • What you’re building

  • Why you’re building it

  • How it’s going so far

Why this works:

  • Works at any stage - whether you're early or already established

  • Reminds people what you’re doing (without feeling forced)

  • Doesn’t feel like self-promotion

  • Has a reason for existing

What Happened When They Tried This?

They finally posted. And what happened?

✔ People reached out.
✔ Their confidence grew.
✔ New connections were made.

It was the kick their business needed.

And once they saw the response, posting again felt way easier.

Final Thought

Yes, no one cares as much as you think.

But if you’re overthinking it, don’t force it - start with this framework.

That’s it for this week.

See you next Thursday.

Keep building,
