The mistake that killed my last newsletter

(and what I’m doing differently)

I made a huge mistake with my last newsletter. I won’t make it again.

A few years ago, I ran a newsletter called SpoMa - a weekly breakdown of athlete brand moves.

Every Sunday, I spent 10-12 hours researching, curating, and writing.
It built a strong, influential audience.
People loved it.

But it failed.

Not because the content wasn’t good.
Not because people weren’t reading.

It failed because I had no clear goal.

I wasn’t intentional. I wasn’t thinking about leverage. I was just “putting out value.”

Then one Christmas, I said, “I’ll take a break.”
That break lasted four years.

This time, it’s different.

This newsletter isn’t just about sharing ideas - it’s about helping you build a personal brand that creates business opportunities.

💡 If you’re building a personal brand, here’s the question I want you to ask yourself:
Am I creating content… or am I creating leverage?

Because that’s the difference between just being seen and being sought after.

This won’t be a short-term play.
It’s about consistency, clarity, and creating opportunities for both of us.

I’ll be in your inbox every week, breaking down what works, what doesn’t, and how you can turn your brand into a business growth engine.

Let’s make this one count.

👉 What’s one thing you want to improve about your personal brand this year?
Hit reply and let me know - I’ll shape this newsletter to help.

See you next Thursday.

Keep building,
