When priorities shift, consistency wins

A busy week doesn’t mean dropping the ball.

Here I am, 9:30pm on a Wednesday, getting started on this week's letter because my perfectly planned schedule just didn’t go to plan. But hey, it happens.

One of the main reasons for me starting this newsletter, was to provide you with value each week. So sticking to my plan, this week, things will look a bit different, but I’m still hoping to drop some value. With time not on my side, I’ve decided to split the letter into two parts:

Section 1: 5 resources that can help you and your personal brand.

Section 2: 3 things that I’ve been working on this week in my one-person business.

As always, I’d love to hear what you think. And don’t forget, if you're ready to build the foundations of your personal brand, don't miss out on the Personal Brand Foundation Workshop happening on 5th November. Details below.

5 helpful resources

1) Boost your self-awareness with this simple fix - Learn how a small shift can lead to big improvements

2) How to grow on Twitter - A step-by-step guide by this creator, but it requires work

3) Struggling with content ideas? - Here’s a source you may be overlooking when coming up with new topics

4) How to get ready for a podcast - A solid 7-step process to help you nail your appearance

5) How is your business card looking? - This latest feature means your bio needs to be on point

3 updates from my week

Planning for 2025
This week, I began planning for 2025, and January will mark the start of my second year as a solo entrepreneur. Last year’s goal was simply survival - this year, I’m setting bigger goals. Two key questions I’ve been reflecting on: How much time do I want to work? and What do I want to earn?

It’s a strange feeling after 18 years in corporate life, where planning for a New Year meant hoping for a promotion and a 5% raise. Now, with the freedom to choose my path, there’s more responsibility in balancing success and life. Have you started planning for 2025?

New Clients Secured
This week, I’m excited to have secured two new clients: one building a consultancy, and the other an elite athlete working on their personal brand. It’s taken time to get here, but my client base is now shaping up to focus on athletes, founders, and solo entrepreneurs. My target audience has been one of my biggest challenges this year, and its something I am still working on, but it feels like progress is happening.

Rugby Trainer Academy
With the Rugby Trainer Academy, the business I co-founded with Ben John (aka The Rugby Trainer) we’re scaling our newsletter strategy. This week, we’ve built a new lead magnet and are testing paid strategies to grow our subscribers from 8,000 to 15,000. It’s an exciting phase of experimentation. It’s all about testing, learning and evolving. As we make progress, I’m excited to share what works, so that you can progress quicker.

Well, that's all for this issue. I hope you enjoyed it.

See you next Thursday.

Keep building,

A
